Eliminate Two-Tier Schooling
- Most parents know there are two tiers of elementary classes in Ottawa schools. Let's address this by ensuring the excellence of all classes.
- Elementary programs should encourage the creation of classes with adequate support and resources that allow more elementary students to remain in local schools. This could eliminate long bus rides for many children while decreasing overall transportation costs.
- Special education services are not adequately provided to students in French immersion programs. Many special needs children can learn French well and shouldn't face discrimination when it comes to learning French.
- Improve French-as-a-Second Language programs. Ottawa is a bilingual city and all our children need to be proficient in French.
